Across Scales and Disciplines
Spatial Affairs Bureau is an award-winning architecture, design and landscape firm based in the United States and the United Kingdom led by UK architect Peter Culley. We value critical analysis and collaboration across design cultures.
Spatial Affairs Bureau has built a reputation for projects developed for cultural organisations and artists, both individually and collaboratively in artist-based teams.

From constructing with colour and light, to process and representing, and forming a consultant team, Spatial Affairs Bureau approach to every project encourages collaboration and experimentation with experts in their fields.
Creative Director and Founder of Spatial Affairs Bureau, Peter Culley encourages openness and collaboration in every project, with a deep narrative and sense of balance and unity between buildings and landscape.
Domestic projects have been a consistent element of Spatial Affairs' output. We find that they form a crucial testing bed for other projects and we develop each one with the same strategic approach we'd use for larger civic and cultural commissions.
Via several of our wider design projects we have developed custom products that have often gone on to larger distribution, ranging from our trademark jumbo umbrellas to bespoke kitchens, tables and chairs.
